Greetings to one and all.
You are cordially invited to attend the 25th Annual St. Patrick's Day party being held at St. Margaret of Scotland on Saturday, February 25th, 2012. This year marks the Silver Jubilee of this party and I believe we finally have got the hang of it. :) I am attaching a flyer to help you remember the date.
As usual, the party will be held in the gymnasium immediately following the 6 P.M. Mass. We will have the usual great menu of Harrington's corned beef, wine, beer, pop, etc., all for the ridiculously low price of $25. Besides the food and refreshments, we will have great music, room for dancing and a raffle of wonderful prizes. We will also be selling those beautiful SMS sweat shirts (only $20) as we have for the past several years.
Last year, we had almost 400 attendees and raised $67,000, which naturally goes to the education of the school children. The feedback we received was universally positive and we are striving to maintain that excellence. If you have never been to one of these parties, or haven't been to one for several years, you should come out and see what you've been missing. Everyone has a great time renewing friendships, exchanging stories (some might even be true) and just generally having a blast. It's a great way to cope with winter and I guarantee it will bring back memories you haven't had in many years. You can even tour the school buildings and be amazed at how small everything is, especially the desks.
So get hold of your brothers and sisters, your neighbors and friends, and come on out. If you get a party of 8 or more, just contact me and I will reserve a table for you. I look forward to seeing you all at the party.
By the way, Fr. Mallette wanted me to pass along his deepest appreciation for the prayers and support he has received from you following his assault by two unknown perpetrators. He is feeling better and he continues his pastoral duties. He fully intends to say the Mass preceding the party and will, of course, attend the party.
See you all on February 25th.
