I am very happy to find this web site! Thank you.
My name is Carol Menig now Gillespie. I moved to the burbs in 1962 after 6th grade. I was in Sr Dennis Marie class. My sister graduated in ?1957, Judy. My parents were married there in 1942. Most of my mothers family lived in the area when it was called Washington Heights. Her name was Virginia Koenig, other names were Sampson, Leenheer and Muys?.
I lost contact with everyone during the first year of moving.
I have read all the posts and remember Duckies, Girl Scouts, after school Spanish class, Science fairs and many of the other things mentioned.
I have look over class pictures and unfortunately, names were not included.
Names that are still close in my memory from my class are, Gerry McGiveny, Chris Condron, Shawn Howard, Mary Pat Leslie.
Names from my neighborhood 92nd & Green: Kelly, Geary, White, Glynn, Murphy, McCormick.

I'm a member of the class of 1964. I started out at St. Margaret's in Kindgarten, with Mrs. O'Donnell. In 8th grade, my teacher was Sr. Angelita, who was wonderful.
Today, I am a controller for a construction company. I'd love to hear from other class of '64 classmates.

Hi,

I have put a few postings on the general discussion page but will also add some notes to this page.

I moved to Las Vegas in '97 but will always call Chicago my home town. I work for Clark County in the Recorder's office. I use to live on Racine street but our house was moved to May street on the corner of 101st due to Interstate 57...

Annually I go back to the south side of Chicago and still have many friends from the class of '65. I recently found Sr. Angelita who is retired and living in Wisconsin. It was great to read about the boxing shows, Fr. Trout, Mrs. O'Donnell and see the beautiful transformation of the church over the years. Oh, if those walls could talk...I can still hear Fr. Trout and I believe he drove a black cadillac... and talked about his fishing trips...how funny....

I hope to attend the St. Margaret's Parish annual fundraiser in February of 2011.

This is an awesome site and there's no words to express our heartfelt thanks to Mike and Kim Collins for thier "vision" in keeping "memories alive.

Hope to see lots of you at the re-union St. Pat's party on Feb. 27!
I'll be there with my dad, and brothers and sisters. We all still live mostly on the south side and suburbs.
